------Dion Paci and Bob Lovelace------

Dion and Bob (Dion Paci & Bob ‘LBD’ Lovelace) have bonded over music since they met as children. At age 6, they used tennis racquets as instruments and played along to the records found in Dion’s father’s 500+ rock record collection – parents and friends were forcefully “invited” to watch their basement stadium concerts.

In their late teens, Dion and Bob started to explore different kinds of music and branched apart. They formed their own bands, with Dion playing more progressive rock/jazz based music and Bob playing jam band/blues based music. Even during this period of playing separately, they frequently played shows back-to-back, taking turns opening for the other.

Upon graduation from high school, Dion went on to attend the Berklee College of Music. Bob decided that he wanted to “chase the blues” and rode freight trains around the country.

Now their divergent paths meet up again. Both established their foothold on two different sides of the country – Dion on the east and Bob on the west. THIS is the culmination of a collaboration in the works for over two decades.

------Marco Benevento------
(www.facebook.com/marco.benevento)

Brooklyn-based pianist and sound sculptor Marco Benevento has completed his third full-length studio album in as many years, Between The Needles & Nightfall, available through his label The Royal Potato Family. With Between The Needles & Nightfall, Marco Benevento continues to define himself as one of the most prolific new voices of his era, blurring genres from song to song, and more often from measure to measure, with his own take on simple pop pleasures, dance party rave-ups and art jazz experimentation. He speaks in modern sonic tongues, all cut-and-pasted, tweaked-out and glitchy, but full of wide-eyed wonder that rejoices in the limitless horizons of sound and melody.

------Calvin Weston------

G Calvin Weston was born June 6, 1959 in Philadelphia, PA. He became interested in drums at the age of 6, when he (and his neighbors) discovered his talent for rhythm as he beat on every car on the block. He lived in North Philadelphia where he saw musicians like Stevie Wonder, The Jackson Five and James Brown at the Uptown Theatre. Seeing his attention focused on the drummers, his Father bought him a small set. In high school Calvin learned to read music and played second snare in the drum ensemble. He co-founded the group Bad Influence which played in cabarets and clubs around Philadelphia..... At 17, Calvin joined Ornette Colemans Prime Time Band, with bass player jamalaadean tacuma.his close friend from philly and charlee ellerbe, which toured extensively in North America and Europe. After recording four albums with Prime Time, Calvin went on to play and record with guitarist James "Blood" Ulmer, until he joined John Luries Lounge Lizards in 1990..... During the late 90s Calvin recorded and toured with Billy Martin of Medeski Martin and Wood, Tricky, Eyvind Kang, Derek Baily, Mark Ribot, and James Carter. He also played on several movie soundtracks including "Get Shorty".
